Wood Working

At oneROOF Youth Services, we encourage our youth to utilize all facets of our supports, including the social enterprise opportunities we offer.

Wood Working as a social enterprise opportunity gives youth a place to design, build, and sell wood products of their own creation. Youth can work and gain carpentry skills right onsite, while being supervised by qualified staff. Participants of the SEE program who choose to work in the wood shop also receive their Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) training.

The Wood Working program is beloved by our youth and provides a wonderful opportunity for self-expression and creativity. The online store serves as an outlet for the sales of products created by youth in our wood shop, as well as the promotion of the other social enterprise opportunities afforded (i.e. Street Designs, Lunch Box, etc)

The wood shop relies heavily on community donations. We are grateful for any and all donations of lumber, tools, and supplies from community members, lumber yards, and local stores. For more information on donating, please contact us via email at info@oneroof.org
